We have received joyful and colorful news from the Kishanpur school! As every year, the children participated in the great Holi festival, one of India’s most vibrant and festive celebrations.
Through the images and video we are sharing with you, we can see their radiant smiles, their faces covered in vibrant hues, and the contagious energy emanating from this very special day. It is with immense pride that we celebrate with them this moment of happiness, where everyone, without distinction, is united in an explosion of colors.



Holi, dubbed the “festival of colors,” is a Hindu celebration marking the arrival of spring and symbolizing the triumph of good over evil. It takes place annually during the full moon of the month of Phâlguna (February-March), bringing together millions of people across India.
The festivities begin the day before, with the ritual of Holika Dahan, where large bonfires are lit to symbolize the destruction of evil. This fire recalls the legend of Prahlad, a young prince devoted to the god Vishnu, who miraculously survived the flames thanks to his unwavering faith, while Holika, his malevolent aunt, was consumed.

In Kishanpur, the children did not fail to perpetuate this beautiful tradition! With enthusiasm, they prepared their own natural pigments from dried flowers and vegetable powders. During the festival, they ran through the alleys, joyfully throwing handfuls of colors at passersby and sharing bright laughter with their friends and teachers.
The festivities also featured traditional dances and tastings of typical dishes like thandai, a refreshing drink made from milk, almonds, and spices. A memorable day where joy and unity were abundant!
