The New Mauricette Generation Foundation is a public organization founded in 2021 by a dedicated group of educators, entrepreneurs, and professionals from various fields. We focus on improving the lives of children in India and Senegal by facilitating access to education, healthcare, and culture. Through strategic partnerships and ambitious projects—such as building schools and providing educational materials—we work to create a better future for children in these regions.

Our mission is to improve the lives of children in India and Senegal by facilitating access to quality education, healthcare, and culture.

We are committed to concrete projects, such as building schools and providing educational materials in India and Senegal.

We work closely with the Mauricette Child Education Development Foundation in New Delhi, India, and with L’Avenir des Enfants du Saloum in Foundiougne, Senegal.

Our team is made up of dedicated professionals, including Christian (President), Edmond (Vice President), Marie Elisabeth (Public Relations Officer), Brigitte (Treasurer), Luc (Legal Advisor), Geoffrey (Administrator), and Henri (Technical Advisor).

Mauricette:
Who - Why?

Mauricette, whose real name is Sophie Rombaut, dedicated her entire life to India and its people—whether it was disadvantaged children, families living in slums, the sick, or those affected by leprosy.
This French nurse devoted herself with passion to those in need. As the mother of two children born in India, Jérémie and Marie, she never ceased to give her best.
She has been missing for more than 15 years in Rishikesh, a sacred city on the banks of the Ganges, and despite extensive searches by her children and the authorities, she was never found.
New Mauricette Generation, a public foundation, is dedicated to her and honors this remarkable woman by continuing her dream in Kishanpur, north of New Delhi.
